Catherine O’Driscoll has spearheaded research into the causes of canine health and ill health since forming Canine Health Concern in 1994. She is author of seminal best-selling books ‘What Vets Don’t Tell You About Vaccines’ and ‘Shock to the System’, and recipient of the Maxwell Award from the Dog Writer’s Association of America for the DVD ‘In Search of the Truth About Dogs’.
In 1996, Catherine instigated the world’s first veterinary post-vaccine survey involving some 4,000 dogs. This research revealed that a high proportion of illnesses in dogs first start within three months of a vaccine event. The survey is detailed in full in ‘What Vets Don’t Tell You About Vaccines’, available from www.dogwise.com and www.grandmalovesthedog.com.
Catherine has written for many dog publications in the UK and North America, and is a regular contributor to Dogs Naturally magazine. In 1998, her work was the subject of a prime time TV documentary, World in Action’s ‘Fatal Affection’. This programme can be viewed on the Canine Health Concern website - http://chctv.weebly.com/.
Catherine is also an EFT practitioner and animal communicator. Her latest book, ‘The Animals’ Agenda’, available from Amazon.co.uk (see also http://theanimalsagenda.weebly.com/), describes how animals have been concerned with human growth since the beginning of time.
Catherine has lectured on holistic canine healthcare, animal communicating and Emotional Freedom Technique in many countries of the world.
She runs the non-profit Canine Health Concern and the Pet Parents’ Action Group with her husband Rob Ellis. Their lives are shared with, and enriched by, Golden Retrievers Freddie and Ruby, and Georgie the Papillon.
